About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Character Concept Artist to join our team at inventa. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for creating original character designs for various mediums, including animations, games, and marketing materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design Characters: Develop original characters from initial sketches to polished designs, considering their intended use and target audience.
  2. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with creative directors, project managers, and other designers to ensure visual consistency and maintain brand standards.
  3. Iterate on Feedback: Present design concepts, gather input from stakeholders, and refine designs accordingly to meet project requirements.
  4. Research and Inspiration: Stay current with industry trends, emerging design styles, and best practices to inspire innovative character concepts.
  5. Document Design Guidelines: Establish clear documentation and style guides for character features, color palettes, and overall visual direction.

Key Requirements

  1. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, ZBrush) is essential for this role.
  2. Animation Experience: Experience with animation pipelines or storyboarding is necessary to understand the character's movement and interaction in different scenarios.
  3. Product Knowledge: A basic understanding of product or merchandising design is required to create characters that can be applied to various products.
