The role of a Senior School Leader involves overseeing the operational and strategic direction of an educational institution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a school environment that fosters effective learning, with a positive ethos that enhances children's academic performance.
  2. Drive school development targets, as agreed upon in collaboration with regional teams, to achieve increased enrollment, improved examination results, and enhanced school improvement across six key areas.
  3. Model professional behavior, serve as a leading educator and learner within the school and community, continually improving skills, attitudes, and knowledge while motivating teachers and staff.
  4. Make recommendations to senior leadership on school operations and improvement programs, actively participating in their implementation and contributing to achievement of outcomes through collaboration with other schools in the region.
  5. Ensure adherence to organizational vision, core ideology, policies, and procedures.
  6. Provide leadership in school strategic planning and human resources development.
  7. Direct and monitor student and school progress through annual development plans in key areas.
  8. Coordinate ongoing in-service professional development activities with regional teams.
  9. Offer pedagogical guidance, mentorship, and support for professional development, quality assurance, examinations, EMIS, fee management, and enrollments within the school.
  10. Effectively evaluate teacher and staff performance based on individual contributions to the school development plan and targets.
  11. Ensure the school operates responsibly, efficiently, and that all policies, processes, and systems support teaching and learning.
  12. Establish data collection, analysis, and dissemination systems to inform timely decision-making for improved student and school performance.
Requirements
  • Professional qualifications (B.ED/M.ED) are mandatory.
  • Decision-making capabilities.
  • People management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
