Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer to supervise cathodic protection systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop asset integrity management policies and procedures for transmission and distribution pipelines.
  • Create corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems through complex activities including specifications, calculations and graphic analysis.
  • Solve cathodic protection and interference problems by implementing corrective action through corrosion personnel.
  • Manage pipeline surveys and develop coating rehabilitation plans based on survey findings.
  • Maintain cathodic protection systems, including power sources, ground beds and pipe-to-soil potential.
  • Monitor rectification activities and ensure the effectiveness of cathodic protection systems.
  • Analyze asset integrity surveys and identify vulnerable pipeline sections.
  • Review corrosion monitoring reports and guide actions accordingly.
  • Analyze pipeline hardware data and prepare a course of action.
  • Develop capabilities for in-house repair of faulty equipment.
  • Stay updated on new technologies for asset integrity and corrosion monitoring.
  • Utilize enterprise asset management system for PM plans, material ordering and root cause failure analysis.
  • Ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and follow up on capital works.
  • Provide critical assistance to management in preparation and monitoring of yearly revenue and CAPEX.
  • Lead and train staff to provide corrosion control services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong background in metallurgy, electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in supervising cathodic protection systems.
