Data Analysis and Cost Control

As our Cost Accountant, you'll be at the center of our financial operations, gathering and analyzing data that influences key decisions across the business. You'll study the costs of raw materials, labor, and inventory to ensure every dollar is optimized—and every process is improved.

  • Analyze product design changes, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services to evaluate cost impacts
  • Maintain our cost accounting system and create insightful analysis reports
  • Record actual costs vs. standards to support better expenditure control

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection & Analysis (20%)
  2. Cost Monitoring & Reporting (20%)
  3. Inventory Cost Management (20%)
  4. Month-End & Year-End Close Support (20%)
  5. Strategic Cost Improvements (20%)

Additional responsibilities will include conducting inventory audits, monitoring cycle count programs, reconciling finished goods, implementing cost standards for materials and labor, tracking and reconciling raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods stock, coordinating physical counts and cycle counts in a warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy, assisting in closing the general ledger, analyzing production costs, supporting budget forecasts, comparing past data for improved future projections, recommending and implementing cost-saving strategies, driving process improvements, identifying operational opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to close performance gaps, maintaining a strong analytical mindset, advanced Excel skills, proficiency with Outlook and Word, and experience with MAPICS or similar manufacturing/production accounting software.
