Job Description

The role of the Assistant Manager of Finance is a critical position within our organization, requiring expertise in finance, accounting, and taxation. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for assisting in the financial management of the company.

This position offers the opportunity to grow within the organization and contribute to strategic financial decisions. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, payroll tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Tax Planning and Strategy: Work with tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies and identify potential tax savings opportunities.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing the necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • General Accounting: Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Cash Management: Assist in managing cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other finance team members and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 6 to 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or taxation.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools, preferably QB online and Odoo.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
