Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to lead our schools as a Secondary Principal and Primary Principal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching by monitoring school progress across key performance indicators, focusing on improvement of the school and every student.
  • Recruit, develop, empower, support, encourage, and retain the best teachers in the school.
  • Develop a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination, valuing every member of the school community.
Academic Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Teacher Selection process to recruit quality teachers.
  • Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on need analysis.
  • Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and observations.
  • Enhance teacher quality through demo sessions and feedback.
  • Assess student performance by reviewing assignments and test papers.
  • Organize and manage co-curricular activities, timetables, assemblies, periods, displays, libraries, and laboratories.
  • Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty.
  • Conduct transparent and timely term tests and examinations.
  • Build team spirit and motivate teachers to focus on retention.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with the community and promote education for both male and female children.
  • Maintain required student strength within the school through effective enrolment strategies.
  • Manage teacher outreach and maintain a CV bank.
  • Coordinate staff hiring, retaining, performance management, and HR matters.
  • Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building of students and staff.
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
  • Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date school accounts.
  • Ensure maintenance of buildings and premises.
  • Supply and manage utility services in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate board-related matters.
  • Understand and implement TCF policies.
  • Submit reports and documents in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through academic, co-curricular, volunteer, or professional activities.
  • Ability to persevere, motivate self and others, communicate effectively, build relationships, and take ownership of self-growth and others.
  • Passionate about serving as a positive change agent.
  • At least Graduate degree.
  • Professional Qualification: B.Ed. and M.Ed. preferred.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience and 6 months of experience as a Senior Teacher, Vice Principal, Principal, or in administration.
