We are seeking an experienced CSSD Team Member to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance of high-quality patient care through effective sterilization practices.
Main Duties- Responsibly handle and process medical instruments and equipment to ensure proper sterilization and availability for use.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor supply levels to prevent shortages.
- Operate complex equipment such as washing machines, dryers, sterilizers, and other machinery in the CSSD.
- Collaborate with colleagues to conduct routine quality control tests and identify any potential issues with sterilization procedures.
- Restock consumables in storage areas from bulk stores when necessary.
- Coordinate the dispatch of required materials to units.
- Work closely with supervisors to prioritize workload and provide support to HCAs.
- Complete additional tasks as delegated by supervisors.
- Matriculation; Intermediate qualification preferably held.
- Degree in CSSD or OT.
- Relevant experience in a reputable healthcare setting.
- Ability to work methodically and adhere to procedures.
- Familiarity with Sterilization & Disinfection Service protocols.
