About the Role:

The Deputy Manager / Manager Electrical And Mechanical Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of plant and equipment. This involves planning, scheduling, and executing preventive maintenance programs, as well as controlling spare parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
  • Prompt emergency repair of equipment and infrastructure to maintain production availability
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance programs
  • Control spare parts inventory to optimize levels
  • Enhance productivity through modifications, extensions, or new low-cost equipment
  • Evaluate correct operation of equipment for production and utility distribution
  • Advise management and departments on machinery acquisition, installation, and operation
  • Ensure environmental protection
  • Train and motivate workforce for each job requirement
  • Assign areas and responsibilities to subordinates, monitor performance, and provide guidance
  • Clarify department objectives and company relationship with staff
  • Promote constructive discipline and working harmony in the department
  • Communicate management instructions/policies to staff
  • Appraise performance/recommendation of subordinates
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety rules by all concerned
  • Approve leaves and authorize overtime according to company rules
  • Maintain liaison with other divisions/departments for smooth working
  • Conduct/organize training of staff

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be a Graduate Engineer in a relevant field with around 10 years of work experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of industrial machines, hydraulic presses, welding machines, compressors, generators, pumps, etc.

Diploma holders with B-Tech having sound hands-on experience may also be considered.
