Job Title: Technical Leader

As a technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing and delivering top-notch technology products.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience and formal training or certification. They should also have experience leading teams of technologists and guiding them towards achieving strategic goals.

A key responsibility of this role is to develop secure and high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and drive decisions that influence product design and technical operations. Additionally, they will serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus and contribute to the engineering community as an advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices.

Preferred qualifications include finance domain experience with the United States Banking & Payments industry, knowledge of Card Network Payment, Fraud, Settlement, and certifications in Java programming or related technologies. A working proficiency in developmental toolsets like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, Maven is also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience leading teams of technologists
  • Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services and experience in building event-driven Micro Services and Kafka streaming.
  • Experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot and AWS Services in public cloud infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
