Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a dedicated individual to teach assigned courses, develop learning materials, and maintain records to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions, as well as assessing student progress and providing feedback.
  • This role involves continuing to develop own teaching and learning skills and contributing to the planning of teaching programs.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with academic colleagues and colleagues in practice.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements.
  • Set, mark, and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.
  • Mentor 15 to 20 students.
  • Update data in required software as per requirements.
  • Link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.
  • Participate in departmental and university committees.
  • Ensure that the teaching content and methods of delivery are in accordance with the institution's mission, and respond to issues relating to subordinates and student needs.
Requirements
  • To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
  • You will have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery is essential, as well as experience of developing and implementing educational resources.
  • The ideal candidate will have a commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve their teaching practice.
