Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems.

Your primary focus will be on building scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines that meet the needs of our business.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement technical specifications.

Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for working with big data technologies.

About the Role

This position requires experience in data engineering, specifically in areas such as data warehousing, ETL development, and data architecture.

You should have a solid understanding of database concepts, including relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.

Able to work with various tools and technologies, including Python, Java, Spark, and Hadoop.

The successful candidate will have a degree in computer science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in data engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems
  • Build scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical specifications
  • Collaborate with onsite/offshore teams and help clear blockers
  • Participate in collaborative technical discussions on software user experience, design, architecture, and development
  • Manage Github PRs and act as release manager for some data engineering projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Relational database experience required
  • Reporting experience required (Jet, Power BI or Tableau)
  • ETL experience and programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python
  • Experience working with onsite and offshore teams
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, relying on experience, research, and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
