Senior Software Engineer

A highly skilled and experienced software engineer plays a pivotal role in developing server applications for various software platforms, including writing RESTful APIs consumed by client applications. The primary focus is on ensuring the functionality, security, and performance of server applications align with design specifications and are free from bugs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements to drive project development.
  • Estimate tasks assigned to ensure timely completion.
  • Write high-quality code and unit tests to ensure application stability.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Tune code for enhanced security and performance.
  • Maintain systems by promptly addressing existing issues.
  • Update issue tracking software to ensure transparency.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs.
  • Control versions of your code using version control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of professional experience in the software development industry.
  • Extensive experience in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MicroServices.
  • Good understanding of MicroServices architecture.
  • Experience working with tools like Git, Maven, JFrog, and UDeploy.
  • Expertise in developing enterprise-level web applications and RESTful APIs using MicroServices, with demonstrable production-scale experience.
  • Strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments.
  • Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Excellent Shell scripting experience.
  • Must have experience with PostgreSQL as DB Engine, deployed on AWS.
  • Working experience with Relational DB Skills for PostgreSQL + Terraforms.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest happenings in the tech world and an attitude to discuss and bring those into play.
  • Strong agile/scrum development experience.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
