About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager with a strong track record of technical leadership to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  2. Project Planning: Lead and oversee all technical analysis, specifications, and estimation to ensure they are complete and accurate, resulting in high-quality written specifications, strategies, and implementations.
  3. Delivery Management: Facilitate the smooth delivery of product enhancements and support by the team.
  4. Code Optimization: Help plan future-proof reusable core code libraries that can be shared across the team to drive further efficiencies.
  5. Critical Support: Take control of critical support instances and establish the correct escalation and process to manage and resolve issues promptly.
  6. Data Protection: Stay aware of the latest data protection and security threats and implement measures to mitigate risks according to industry standards.
  7. Innovation: Proactively drive innovation by identifying and implementing technology trends that will support the future success of the product.
  8. Progress Monitoring:
  9. Quality Standards: Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices, systems, and policies.
  10. Tech Decision Making: Facilitate technology and decision making throughout the team, including standardization of system architecture, reusable code base development, versions of software tools, best practice, source control, and deployment processes.
  11. Team Growth: Plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within the team, focusing on excellence across the engineering organization.
