Senior DevOps Engineer Job Summary:

This is a critical position that requires a hands-on approach to building, scaling, and monitoring complex applications. We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in containerization technology and experience with designing and implementing architecture and roadmaps.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the high availability of our container orchestration cluster and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals. This role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure setup and configuration, continuous integration and deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting, security and compliance, configuration management, collaboration and communication, documentation, and staying current with industry trends.

About the Role

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure, including cloud-based platforms, servers, networks, and databases.
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate build, deployment, and release processes and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor performance and availability of applications and infrastructure components and identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Implement security best practices to protect systems and data and collaborate with the security team to address potential vulnerabilities or threats.
  • Manage configuration files and ensure consistency across environments and work closely with development teams to streamline the configuration process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement and effectively communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices and continuously evaluate and propose improvements to enhance development and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering, migrations, deployments, monitoring, and collaboration.
  • Ability to oversee and mentor junior team members and report to management.
  • Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to keep up with software development trends and innovation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
