Marriage and Family Therapist Job Description

We are seeking licensed therapists who are passionate about providing long-term relationship solutions to couples and families in their community.

Responsibilities:

  • Guiding patients through crises, diagnosing psychological disorders, highlighting problematic patterns that need to be changed, improving communication, and assisting patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors.
  • Providing high-quality couples and family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and navigate relationship challenges.
  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored treatment plans to support long-term relationship success.
  • Engaging in clinical team meetings, peer consultations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct intake and needs assessment of individuals, significant others, and family members by testing, interviewing, observing, and holding discussion sessions.
  • Engage in planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and attend weekly clinical team meetings.
  • Provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children utilizing solution-focused therapy strategies for improving relationships.
  • Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented patient records with a quality of documentation that meets facility and licensing standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensed therapists (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist Ph.D./Psy.D.) with 1-3 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
  • Provisionally licensed therapists (LPCC, LSW, MFT-C) with 1-3 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
  • Passion for couples therapy and a strong desire to specialize in evidence-based modalities.
  • Willingness to train in CBT, DBT, EMDR, sex therapy, or other evidence-based modalities.
  • Availability for at least one evening or weekend shift to accommodate couples' schedules.
