Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible Senior Cloud Engineer who can provide top-notch technical support to our customers. This individual will work closely with our globally distributed teams, adapting to our data-driven culture and continuously improving their performance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through various communication channels, including tickets, chat, phone, emails, Slack, and Skype.
  • Migrate complex web applications and assist junior team members with their migration processes.
  • Support customers with application load testing and upgrades.
  • Convert complex customer queries into actionable tickets when necessary.
  • Monitor and respond to abuse reports from various sources in collaboration with other teams.
  • Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving techniques to resolve customer issues while keeping them informed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong technical background with a solid understanding of the hosting industry, specifically PHP (WordPress, Magento, etc.) and its underlying technologies (Linux, Nginx, Apache, MySQL, etc.).
  • Experience as a developer is beneficial.
  • An empathetic approach, able to understand and relate to customer needs.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills across different cultures and mediums.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure environments (AWS, GCE, etc.) is advantageous.
