Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain and service equipment as required, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct various equipment inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Report any discrepancies or unserviceability of equipment to the Officer-in-charge, ensuring timely servicing.
  • Set up lab equipment before experimental work, ensuring all necessary apparatus is in working condition.
  • Assist students during experimental work, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Manage lab equipment and apparatus, maintaining accurate records of inventory and usage.
  • Ensure the lab and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Secure the lab and oversee proper storage during closing hours.
  • Keep inventories neat, clean, and in working order.
  • Switch off lights, computers, ACs/heaters, and lab equipment before closing.
  • Perform clerical work related to the lab when required.
Requirements:
  • A DAE in Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • No less than 10 years' experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining miscellaneous lab equipment related to IC Engine, Thermodynamics, or Fluid Mechanics.
  • B. Tech in Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • No less than 3-5 years' experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining miscellaneous lab equipment related to IC Engine, Thermodynamics, or Fluid Mechanics (desirable).

  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in mechanical technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
