We are seeking a highly skilled DBA Specialist to join our team and take charge of our database systems.

  • This individual will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Closely collaborate with various teams to support application development and data management initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and monitor database management systems (DBMS) including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
  • Regularly perform database maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and migrations.
  • Document database designs, procedures, and configurations for team reference.
  • Stay up-to-date on database technology trends and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience in backup and recovery procedures, including disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell) for automation of database tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Database administration certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are preferred.
