Database Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team focused on database products.

This role involves developing external customer-facing managed database products and collaborating with an agile, self-managed team of peers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and exposure to different SQL and NoSQL databases, and be able to communicate technical designs and code changes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining distributed systems and APIs with Go Lang.
  • Contributing to the design and discussion on technical architecture and working closely with front-end developers.
  • Improving testing, maintenance, and deployment automation to increase development velocity and resiliency.
  • Providing last-line support for DBaaS products and leveraging technologies such as Temporal, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Grafana.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience developing infrastructure and products from ideation to deployment, with a focus on backend engineering and services.
  • A solid understanding of building and maintaining microservices within distributed systems.
  • Working knowledge of microservices using container workload engines and frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with common message bus and queuing technologies for asynchronous processing.
