Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Draftsman to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and layouts for plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems.

  • Develop and revise precise mechanical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and BIM software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to coordinate design intent, resolve technical issues, and integrate mechanical services within overall building layouts.
  • Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, assess installation feasibility, and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
  • Prepare and update as-built drawings reflecting actual site installations and modifications for project handover and future maintenance.
  • Generate accurate material take-offs and quantity estimations from drawings for procurement and cost control.
  • E nsure all drawings adhere to relevant codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local standards) and quality procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
  • Expertise in 2D and 3D mechanical drafting and modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting system design.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards (IEC, BS), and regulations.
