Product Manager Job Description

The role of a Product Manager is to oversee the entire lifecycle of a product or service, from initial concept to launch and ongoing maintenance. This involves driving development, managing go-to-market strategies, and ensuring continuous improvement to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
  2. Develop and prioritize a product backlog based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  4. Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
  5. Define product requirements, create user stories, and specify key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
  6. Develop and oversee product training and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Monitor pre- and post-launch performance, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  8. Regularly review and analyze product performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
  9. Identify opportunities for enhancements, updates, or retirement of products and services as needed.
  10. Ensure seamless integration of customer feedback into future product iterations.
  11. Act as the product's primary advocate, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities.
  12. Manage live systems, including deployment and backup on live servers.
  13. Design and manage databases for new/current systems.
  14. Code management for all projects being developed, including TFS repositories creation, users and roles management.
  15. Design, create, and review technical documents.
  16. Create technical workflows and wireframes.
  17. Review development work with the scrum team.
