Ecommerce Financial Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Financial Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management of our e-commerce business. Your primary focus will be on daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts. You will need to ensure timely and accurate data entry into our accounting system.

A key responsibility of this role is performing regular bank and payment gateway reconciliations to ensure accuracy in transactions between our e-commerce platform, customers, and suppliers. Additionally, you will generate, verify, and process invoices for customers and vendors, following up on outstanding payments and ensuring timely collection.

This role involves managing and maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records, ensuring proper handling of payments and vendor communication, resolving discrepancies. As an Ecommerce Financial Coordinator, you will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements), as well as supporting the finance team in preparing GST returns and other tax-related compliance for our business.

You will monitor inventory costs and work with our operations team to ensure accurate COGS reporting. You will also assist in managing our company's cash flow by tracking payments, receipts, and identifying liquidity issues. Furthermore, you will conduct financial analysis, track KPIs, and provide insights into financial trends to improve profitability.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will support internal and external audits, ensuring our financial records comply with applicable laws and regulations. You will act as a point of contact for financial queries from internal teams, customers, and suppliers, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in accounting, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of E-Commerce Operations: Familiarity with online payment systems, e-commerce accounting, and transaction processing
  • Tax Compliance: Knowledge of GST, VAT, and other e-commerce business tax regulations
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
