Oncology Professorship

The Centre of Oncological Research in Surgery (COORS) at the Aga Khan University is seeking an exceptional academic to lead our research efforts in surgical oncology. As a Senior Instructor/Assistant Professor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of cancer research.

• Conduct research related to surgical oncology, particularly focusing on stem cell biology in surgical oncology.
• Develop and manage the Biorepository of clinical/surgical samples.
• Lead the Prospective Pakistan Brain Tumor Epidemiology Study from initiation to completion.

You will also be responsible for:

• Supervising research teams consisting of post-docs, clinical fellows, PhD students, and research staff.
• Developing and submitting grant proposals both internally and externally.
• Promoting multi-disciplinary collaboration with faculty across AKU.
• Overseeing and managing students to ensure thesis development and publications.
• Maintaining laboratory and ethical protocols, including ordering, procuring, funding, budgeting, and compliance.
