Electrical Power Engineer

As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing power generation and distribution systems. This includes designing utility/grid (33/132/220kV) systems, HV/MV/LV switchgear/MCC, and all applicable protections.

You will work closely with our project teams to develop detail-engineering documents/drawings, system studies on ETAP such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient studies & relay coordination studies. Your tasks will also include developing load lists, single line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, electrical equipment detail specifications, data sheets, tender requisitions, power, lighting & earthing, hazardous area classification layouts, datasheets, cable schedules & typical details etc.

Additionally, you will design uninterrupted power supply (UPS) as per electrical & instrument requirement to cater the plant essential loads. You will also perform lighting calculations/illumination study for indoor and outdoor lighting system and determine illumination level on DIALux and Calculux software.

• Developing various detail-engineering documents/drawings, system studies on ETAP such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient studies & relay coordination studies.
• Develop Load List, single line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, electrical equipment detail specifications, data sheets, tender requisitions, power, lighting & earthing, hazardous area classification layouts, datasheets, cable schedules & typical details etc.
• Design of uninterrupted power supply (UPS) as per electrical & instrument requirement to cater the plant essential loads.
• Perform lighting calculations/illumination study for indoor and outdoor lighting system and determine illumination level on DIALux and Calculux software.
• Preparation of Specifications & data sheets of engine/turbine driven generators, transformer, substation equipment, Switchgear/MCC, UPS, cables, grounding & lightning system etc.
• Assist in preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements and man-hour estimates.
• Deliver electrical power engineering services that meet client requirements. All works performed on applicable standards and company statutory rules & regulations i.e. IEC, API, NFPA, IEEE.
• Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures.
• Fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues.
• Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates. Provide similar support for Variation Orders.
• Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and to maintain preferred procedures, specifications, standards, practices and operational requirements.
• Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
• Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings and site surveys, as required.
• Assist procurement personnel in procuring Discipline equipment, materials and services; ensuring that work produced complies with Customer/Client objectives and procedures. Procurement assistance includes preparing requisitions, evaluate technical quotations & preparing queries, compiling bid tabulations and recommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, and coordinating with Procurement to expedite vendor documents.
• Development of Inspection Plan, Management Strategy, Task list & recommendations.
• Participate in FAT & inspection and preparation & resolution of punch lists on arrival of skid / material.
• Review Pre-commissioning and commissioning index and provide technical assistance on site during pre-commissioning and start-up as required.
• Preparation and submission of reports containing results of site verification, gap assessment, audit results, discussions, recommendations and action plan.

• BSc./MSc. in Electrical Engineering.
• 05 to 10 Years' Experience of FEED & Detail Engineering in Oil and Gas Sector.
• Expertise in ETAP Software, DIALux, Calculux.
• Experience working in MS Office (Word, Excel), AutoCAD.
