Job Description:

This role involves working with clients to ensure their compliance with UAE VAT regulations. As a VAT Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns, maintaining accurate records for client VAT accounts, and assisting in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Support
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients.
  • Assist in VAT registration and deregistration processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for client VAT accounts.
  • Assist in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications.
  • Help review client documentation to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Respond to client queries under the guidance of senior tax staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest VAT rules and practices in the UAE.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards in all processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
  • Participate in trainings and development programs to enhance VAT knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have part-qualified or working towards a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) and 1-2 years of relevant experience in UAE VAT or tax-related roles. The candidate should also have good knowledge of Tax, Financial Accounting and Compliance matters, and experience in financial advisory and other related financial services and products.
