Job Title: Medical Imaging Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Imaging Lead to oversee the Radiological Unit and ensure the provision of high-quality radiological services.

About the Role

The Medical Imaging Lead will be responsible for:

  • Clinical Leadership
    • Providing clinical leadership and direction to the Radiological Unit.
    • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality radiological services.
    • Leading a team of radiologists, radiographers, and other support staff to deliver excellent patient care.
    • Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), particularly in Infection Control, Waste Management, and radiation protection.
  • Quality Improvement
    • Identifying areas for quality improvement and implementing changes to improve patient care and outcomes.
    • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the Radiological Unit and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Education and Training
    • Providing education and training to Medical, Nursing, and Paramedical Staff as per departmental/specialty requirements and protocols.
  • General Responsibilities
    • Remaining on call after working hours.
    • Ensuring timely submission of statistical reports for the unit.
    • Monitoring staff punctuality and unit cleanliness.
    • Preparing and implementing duty rosters for the unit.
    • Ensuring electro-medical equipment is regularly maintained and functional.
    • Ensuring regular supply/replenishment of medicines and stores.
    • Providing technical assistance to management for the purchase of new equipment/instruments.
    • Ensuring subordinate staff adhere to job descriptions (JDs) and SOPs.
    • Writing Objective Performance Evaluation Reports for subordinate staff.
    • Performing outreach duties to lower facilities as required.
    • Fulfilling any other professional duties assigned by the in-charge.
Key Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Radiology or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC.
  • At least 5 years of experience in radiology, with proven expertise in diagnostic imaging techniques such as X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Valid medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead a team of professionals.
