Job Summary:

The role of a Receptionist is to provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff members. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a polite and helpful manner
  • Book appointments over the phone or in-person for clinics or procedures
  • Use communication devices as per requirements
  • Place orders for patient meals and update food services department as required
  • Coordinate with bed management and admission department regarding patient referrals and transfers
  • Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Provide administrative support to the unit team
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of reception area and unit
  • Ensure availability of all necessary forms and stationery
  • Assist in quality audits and keep ward manual updated
  • Act as a unit coordinator as assigned by a manager

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of front desk or customer services experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge and proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a professional environment
  • Ability to remain tactful, patient, and calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to problem-solve using creative and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to work in COVID wards and critical patient care areas
  • Willingness to work in shifts
