Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Management Expert to lead our hotel's financial operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving strong financial performance and enhancing owner relationships.

  1. Develop and Implement Strategic Plans

You will lead the financial input into the formulation and implementation of our hotel's strategic plan and budget. This includes identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and developing effective strategies to achieve our goals.

Maximize Cash Flow Performance

You will be responsible for maximizing cash flow performance at the hotel, while ensuring that all financial activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Establish Effective Financial Controls

You will establish adequate controls for all revenues and expenses, and ensure the protection of assets. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Deliver Accurate Financial Information

You will deliver accurate and timely financial information to senior management and owners, including analysis, interpretations, and projections.

Develop and Support Team Members

You will take responsibility for the professional development of all hotel team members, including identifying training needs and supporting the funding of necessary training.

Maintain Compliance and Safety

You will maintain an awareness of and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and ensure safe and proper storage and access for all contracts, leases, and other financial records.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. A Masters degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  2. Preferably prior experience as a hotel property finance leader
  3. Total proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  4. Deep experience with hotel financial reporting systems, policies and procedures, and management agreements
  5. Experience with operating and financial agreements; demonstrated success in evaluating risks and developing proactive strategies and plans to mitigate business issues
  6. Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management and owners
