About the Position

The Chief Information Security Officer is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing a robust security strategy to protect the organization's information assets.

  • Leads the development of information security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees the implementation of security technologies, risk management, and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and minimize threats.
  • Manages and maintains key information security functions, including incident response, crisis management, and cybersecurity awareness training.
  • Ensures that processes are in place to respond to security incidents and maintain an effective program to manage identity and access privileges.

Requirements

  • Masters in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Must have relevant industry-related Information Security certifications like CISM, CISSP, etc.
  • Good knowledge of information security best practices/international standards and local banking regulations/practices.
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in the Financial Services Sector with preferably 8 years in the Banking sector in the field of Information Security Management.

  • Develop and implement a robust security strategy to protect the organization's information assets.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee the implementation of security technologies.
  • Manage and maintain key information security functions, including incident response and crisis management.
  • Cybersecurity awareness and training are essential components of this role.

Experience, Skills (Necessary to perform the job completely)

  • Well acquainted with security management tools and techniques for security/risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are required to work effectively with senior management and board members.
