Job Title:
MERN Stack Software Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior MERN Stack Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in full-stack JavaScript development with a strong background in MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js. You will be responsible for designing scalable architecture, driving best practices, and mentoring junior engineers, while delivering high-quality solutions for complex web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend and frontend solutions using the MERN stack.
  • Lead end-to-end development lifecycle – from requirement analysis and design to development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, DevOps, and QA teams.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications across platforms and devices.
  • Write clean, modular, and testable code with proper documentation.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices and design patterns.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MongoDB: Strong proficiency in schema design, aggregation pipelines, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
  • Extensive experience with building RESTful APIs, middleware, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Deep understanding of React architecture, component lifecycle, hooks, state management (Redux, Context API), and front-end optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of asynchronous programming, streams, clustering, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Experience with unit testing and frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
  • Strong knowledge of web security best practices (CORS, CSRF, XSS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and GraphQL is a plus.
