About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to assist with our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting software and proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Google Sheets. Strong accounting principles and financial regulations knowledge is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining company accounts and vendor relationships, updating financial records, preparing financial statements, and reviewing bank statements. Additionally, they will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, track production costs, and oversee inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage company accounts and vendor relationships.
  • Update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports accurately and on time.
  • Review bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Track and review production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Oversee inventory management by tracking stock levels, organizing orders, and ensuring accurate stock management.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks.
  • Manage supplier ledgers, e-file sales tax returns, handle advance tax payments, and coordinate with tax advisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with strong accounting skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in pharmaceuticals or manufacturing.
  • Skilled in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
