Business Analyst - Integrations Expert

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to fill the position of Integrations Expert. This role requires a strong understanding of business analysis, integration development, and software development lifecycle methodologies.

  • The Integrations Expert will gather and analyze integration requirements from business stakeholders, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and document integration requirements.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, clients, and IT professionals to identify integration needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • They will also work with external vendors, partners, and countries to analyze integration needs and data exchange requirements, creating data mapping, defining API specifications, and identifying business use cases for integration.
  • The Integrations Expert will provide training and support to end-users and other IT team members on integration-related topics.
  • They will perform API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI to validate API request/response and troubleshoot response codes & errors.
  • The role also involves conducting System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure data integrity and functionality.
  • The successful candidate will work with integration developers and operations support teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Additionally, they will perform gap analysis and identify impacts as a result of any changes or enhancements to existing APIs.
  • The Integrations Expert will ensure all integration processes are thoroughly documented, including data mappings, workflows, message formats, validations, and transformation rules.
  • Maintaining version control for all integration documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders, is another key responsibility.
  • The role also involves planning the rollout/migration of services to new APIs and validating integration post-implementation.
  • Providing regular status updates and presenting progress reports for assigned tasks to supervisors and management is essential.
  • Finally, the Integrations Expert will create integration specifications documents covering integration flows, data mapping, message formats, sample API payloads, response codes, and logging criteria.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in IT business/integration analysis, integration development, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience of working on integration projects, documenting integration specifications, and API testing.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of API concepts and protocols and authentication mechanisms.
  • Ability to create detailed integration documents, API specifications, and use cases.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint & release concepts.
  • Knowledge of database design and SQL.
  • Ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman, etc.).
