Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Support Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as coordinating with the Production team on week closing activities.

In this role, you will also be responsible for preparing and submitting shift end reports, ensuring that all notifications and work-orders are closed on the system, and keeping meticulous records of daily, weekly, monthly or annual activities.

You will also propose and implement small, positive changes that collectively lead to significant improvements in efficiency, quality of works, and overall performance of the Plant.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to assign tasks and duties to reporting team members and follow up on their performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment as per set maintenance plan.

  • Carry out repairs/refurbishment of any parts/assemblies replaced on the machines.

  • Check and place the order for any backup spare part which needs to be kept in the shift maintenance workshop.

  • Coordinate with the Production team on week closing for Sunday shutdown related activities and plan for the spare parts and resources accordingly.

  • Prepare and submit the shift end reports mentioning the status of the plant; notifications raised and their status; pending issues; spare parts requirements, and basic RCAs of breakdowns during their shifts.

  • Ensure that all notifications and work-orders are closed on the system at the shift end in SAP.

  • Keep a meticulous record of all daily, weekly, monthly or annual activities / reports.

  • Propose and implement small, positive changes that collectively lead to significant improvements in efficiency, quality of works, and overall performance of the Plant.

  • Ensuring achievement of the following KPIs:

  • MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)

  • Take a round of the production area and check on the status of the work that had been done in the previous shift, work in progress, pending items and any other abnormalities.

  • Responsible for managing of the breakdowns and the timely rectification on the plant and machineries. Ensure that the MTTR is kept at a minimum.

  • Assign task and duties to their reporting team members and follow up on their performance.

  • Carryout inspection activities through condition-based monitoring as per set inspection plan.

  • Ensure that all 3P contractors have filled assigned checklist as per inspection plan.

  • Ensure that production targets are met through implementing condition-based monitoring by ensuring plant uptime as per defined KPIs.

  • Coordinate with contractors/service providers for smooth operation of the plant and timely completion of the jobs assigned to them.

  • Ensure that PTW has been signed by EHS and other relevant Department Heads.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance equipment supervision.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to assign tasks and duties to reporting team members.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
