EHSS Professional

Job Summary

The EHSS Professional will be responsible for the implementation of agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHS-MS) guidelines. This role involves conducting investigations into EHS adverse events, identifying root causes, and advising on recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Training and Development: Develop a comprehensive training plan calendar for different elements of the Ingredion EHSS Management System, ensuring all employees are trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and gemba walkarounds to identify potential hazards and non-compliance with SOPs and PTW systems. Stop any unsafe activity and provide safety awareness talks to employees.
• EHS Reporting: Ensure all incidents are reported as per EHS-MS guidelines, providing accurate and timely information to management and regulatory bodies.
• Hazard Identification and Mitigation: Identify and eliminate shop floor hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Accident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Sustainability: Ensure compliance with all applicable sustainability matters, including environmental regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Certifications: Hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
• Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: Have at least 5-7 years of experience in an EHS role, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
