We are seeking a skilled IPTV engineer to contribute to the development of multimedia content delivery systems.

This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality IPTV services that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. IPTV System Design and Implementation:
  • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance IPTV systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Implement and configure IPTV components, including middleware, headend systems, streaming servers, and set-top boxes.
  • Integrate IPTV systems with other network components, such as CDNs and VOD platforms.
Video Content Management:
  • Manage and ingest video content into the IPTV system, ensuring proper encoding, transcoding, and metadata integration.
  • Develop and implement content delivery workflows, including live streaming and video-on-demand services.
  • Ensure compliance with content rights and DRM requirements.
Network Infrastructure and Integration:
  • Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network infrastructure for IPTV service delivery.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network protocols and components, such as IP multicast, VLANs, QoS, and routing.
  • Integrate IPTV systems with billing, CRM, and other back-end systems.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the IPTV system, utilizing monitoring tools and analytics.
  • Proactively identify and resolve system issues, including network connectivity, service interruptions, and video quality problems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Documentation and Collaboration:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and customer support, to ensure smooth system operation and user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external vendors.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in IPTV system design, implementation, and maintenance.
  3. Strong knowledge of IPTV technology, protocols, and standards, including HLS, MPEG-DASH, and IPTV over IP.
  4. Proficiency in streaming technologies and protocols, including RTSP, RTMP, and HTTP streaming.
  5. Experience with IPTV middleware platforms, such as Minerva, Mediaroom, or Amino.
  6. Familiarity with video codecs, transcoding, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  7. Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including IP networking, multicast, VLANs, and QoS.
  8. Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python or Bash.
  9. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  10. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  11. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
