We are seeking a skilled driver to join our team at the Department of Community Health Sciences.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating assigned vehicles to transport staff, patients, office supplies, and laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate assigned vehicles to transport personnel, patients, equipment and samples.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles, both inside and outside.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date trip sheets, transportation logs, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks as required and coordinate major maintenance with management.
  • Respond promptly to accidents or medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
  • Handle goods and ensure they are delivered to designated locations during transportation.
  • Carry out daily inspections of vehicles and maintain accurate transportation logs.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A valid driving license.
  • At least one year of relevant driving experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a courteous nature.
  • A strong commitment to the service's aims and objectives.
