Job Overview

The Unit Head plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients. This leadership position oversees a team of nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of nurses to provide exceptional patient care, adhering to international standards and best practices.
  2. Implement infection control measures and ensure effective utilization of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) by nursing staff.
  3. Conduct regular visits to assess the quality of care and obtain feedback from patients, addressing concerns promptly.
  4. Ensure completion of pre and post-requisites for specialized procedures, maintaining accuracy and precision.
  5. Report medication-related incidents and adverse effects to Section Heads and clinicians in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain internal checks on medications and supplies, upholding inventory management standards.
  7. Collaborate with Section Heads and NES to design patient education materials, promoting effective communication and understanding.
  8. Participate in audits, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's in Nursing (MSN preferred) with 5-6 years of clinical experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  2. Valid PNC registration required.
  3. Desirable certifications include BLS, ACLS, and ECG.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills in both Urdu and English languages.
  5. Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and efficiently.
  6. Able to work under time constraints and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously and exercising independence.
