Power Plant Operations Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Power Plant Operations Manager to lead our operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power plant management, with experience in implementing and managing operation and maintenance aspects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing all operational and maintenance aspects of the power plant using total quality management techniques. This includes production planning, plant safety and environment, predictive and preventative maintenance, plant personnel management, operational control and reporting, inventory control, quality assurance, and technical feedback.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for preparing annual operating plans, capital and operating budgets in conjunction with the Contract Manager. They will also identify and recruit local or best available manpower to operate and maintain the plant, aiming to form a first-class operating group with minimal turnover of personnel.

The Power Plant Operations Manager will manage the Operations and Maintenance teams, taking necessary actions to address any abnormalities and informing the Area Contract Manager of any situation that may endanger the plant and/or personnel.

The role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and certify all work carried out by subcontractors. The candidate must ensure that tooling and equipment are maintained in good and usable condition, and that exchange parts are readily available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all parameters of engine and auxiliaries during operation
  • Assist shift engineer for operation and maintenance
  • Report to shift engineer in case of any abnormality
  • Take active part in troubleshooting and maintenance jobs during shift
  • Attend all engine room activities
  • Follow all safety regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in power plant management
  • BSC/BE Mechanical Engineer from a reputable institute
  • Excellent management skills

Salary Range: 15k to 25k
Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience in IPP
Qualification: DAE or equivalent
