Key Responsibilities

The billing operations specialist will be responsible for overseeing the billing process of accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors in billing.

They will analyze billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness, obtaining any missing or corrected data when necessary.

Key responsibilities include creating and customizing invoices as needed, reviewing and validating credits and refunds, issuing refunds, and addressing payment disputes and chargebacks.

The successful candidate will evaluate the billing process and recommend improvements where applicable, ensuring proper cutoff periods for month-end closing procedures.

As the primary point of contact for billing-related support cases, they will provide accurate and timely reports, support vendor operations, and address related concerns.

  • Ensure data quality and consistency by collaborating closely with other functional teams.
  • Be comfortable working with spreadsheets, internet applications, and ERP systems.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of data while entering it into various electronic systems.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a billing or billing-related role.
  • Independent self-starter who can adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in ambiguous situations, solve problems, and think on your feet.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Zuora is a plus.
  • Expertise in Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in accounting or finance is preferred.
