Mobile Application Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Application Developer to help us grow our data-driven iOS applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting requirements into conceptual designs, structural architectures, functional specifications, and final products/apps.

This role involves coding the front end of iOS mobile applications using Swift and storyboards in Xcode.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with back end developers to enable app functionality and populate data stores in the mobile app.

Assisting in customer support investigations is also an important aspect of this position.

In addition to developing new applications, the incumbent will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and support of existing applications.

They will generate and distribute customer app releases in both Enterprise and App Store environments.

Working with DevOps to automate build processes for all app targets is another key responsibility.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Expertise in Swift 2+
  • Proficiency in XCode
  • Knowledge of Swift Package Manager
  • Experience with iOS/iPadOS 14 coding updates
  • Understanding of Certificate and Provisioning Profile management
  • Experience managing large multi-target (50+) Xcode projects
  • Localization skills
  • Ability to create test plans (both UI and normal unit tests)
  • Experience connecting heavily data-driven iOS apps to endpoints via pure Swift networking classes/structures
  • Multi-threading and GCD competence
  • Code optimization for speed
  • Functional programming and high-order functions
  • Version control with Git using Xcode's built-in source control
  • App Store Connect distribution
  • Enterprise app distribution
Education and Experience

You should have:

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Swift / XCode experience or experience combined with computer science
  • 5+ years' experience in Agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies
  • 1-2 years' experience in test-driven development
Desirable Skills

A plus if you have:

  • Enterprise class mobile application experience
  • Core Animation knowledge
  • SwiftUI proficiency
  • Objective C expertise
  • UX design skills
Familiarity with UI Design Tools

We value familiarity with UI design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or AdobeXD.
