Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team.

  • This role involves participating in compliance testing throughout development, including assisting with testing, evaluating results, and recommending solutions.
  • The successful candidate will coordinate and follow up on electrical design drawings, documents, and vendors submitted by contractors or consultants for the Power and Electrical project.
  • An essential responsibility of this position is ensuring that Quality Assurance/Quality Control complies with specs and requirements to minimize end user comments and non-compliances found during commissioning.
  • The engineer will perform electrical engineering analysis and design tasks, such as determining the appropriate electrical system configuration for new facilities or identifying energy savings opportunities in existing facilities.
  • Installation and operations must conform to standards, and electrical appliances must be installed according to specifications and technical drawings.
  • The engineer will ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or department requirements by directing or coordinating installation, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
  • Evaluation of electrical appliances, components, and applications involves designing and conducting research programs, and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Routine maintenance of portable generators in different repeater stations and installed generation sets is also an important aspect of this role.
  • Maintenance of electrical systems involves establishing and enforcing preventive and ongoing maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repairs; and coordinating shutdowns and installations.
  • Scheduling and troubleshooting operational issues, as well as reviewing operations associated with the power plant, is another key responsibility.
  • The engineer will prepare specifications for purchases of equipment and materials installed in operation.
  • Estimates of material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation are also required.
  • Assistance in planning, costing, and budgeting of maintenance services, new installations, and consumables is essential.
  • Routine general inspection of electrical and electronics machinery/equipment and its maintenance is also necessary.
  • The engineer will identify and assess risks under their management and develop risk response strategies.
  • Monitoring risks and response strategies under their management is also required.
  • The accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting is crucial.
