Our organization seeks a Wellness Coach to drive healthy living and wellness initiatives among members.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the wellness area maintains a high standard of quality for our members.
- Engage and coach members on wellness activities, providing training, orientations, and evaluations as scheduled.
- Perform daily cleaning in the wellness area and adhere to documentation procedures.
- Enter maintenance requests in association software.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months experience in the wellness field.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 required within 60 days of hire.
- Complete and maintain required trainings to include: New Employee Orientation (NEO), Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), and Sexual Harassment.
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and Child Protective Services check.
- Grade III requirement: minimum of 6 months experience in the wellness field.
- Grade IV requirement: minimum of 2 years in the fitness field or up to 2 years college level exercise science.
- Support the mission, vision and goals of the organization.
- Promote a professional values-based culture by leading with integrity, respect, and responsibility.
- Supervision of the wellness area.
- Lead in a manner that advances our cause to strengthen community foundations through programs focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to properly prepare, choreograph, teach all required classes.
- Must be able to meet the physical aspects of the position, including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Adequate ability to hear noises and distinguish distress signals.
- Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The selected candidate must be able to pass a thorough background check and obtain any necessary certifications prior to starting employment.
