We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team at AlphaPro in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and editing film footage to meet the director's specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit film until it meets director's requirements.
  • Assess scenes to determine which ones to include or discard.
  • Rearrange scenes as needed.
  • Work with raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
  • Select camera angles that enhance the story.
  • Insert music, sound, or optical effects.
  • Use nonlinear digital editing systems to edit clips.
  • Organize scenes and transitions in a film.
  • Create edit decision lists corresponding to edge numbers.
  • Edit film for commercials, station identification, and public service messages on television films and tapes.
  • Work on feature films, television programs, music videos, corporate training videos, or advertisements.
Additional Tasks:
  • Oversee audio and video engineering and editing quality and progress.
  • Collaborate with the director, producer, and/or client throughout the post-production process.
  • Experiment with styles and techniques, including graphic element design.
  • Select the most effective shot of a scene based on drama, story relevance, or continuity.
  • Write voiceover/commentary.
  • Suggest or select music.
Expert Knowledge:
  • Graphics or photo imaging software: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
  • Video creation and editing software: Pinnacle, Adobe Premiere Pro, Windows Media Services.
