The Role of the Technical Director in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Job Summary
  • A high-level technical position responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and promoting a culture of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Operations: Ensure smooth plant operations in accordance with cGMP requirements, guarantee that production operations comply with national regulatory requirements, and maintain high-quality, safe, and effective product manufacturing.
  • Engineering Department: Oversee the engineering department to ensure efficient use of resources, optimize production expenses, and enhance productivity.
  • Research & Development: Provide guidance to the Research & Development team on formulation and process development, master technical document development, analytical process development, and process improvement & new technologies development.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • GMP Standards and ICH Knowledge: A deep understanding of GMP standards and ICH knowledge is essential for this role.
  • ISO Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO standards is necessary for ensuring compliance with international regulations.
  • Updated Pharmaceutics Knowledge: The ideal candidate should have updated knowledge of pharmaceutics, including contemporary factory management concepts and human resource management concepts for line managers.
  • Regulatory Requirements: A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing is crucial for success in this role.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including at least 8 years as a Plant Head in a large multinational or top 15 national company in Pakistan.

Location Requirements

The position is available in two locations: the north of Pakistan and Punjab.
