Highly Skilled Software Development Engineer Wanted

Our company is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in Islamabad. As a key member of our Quality Engineering group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality delivery of our products. You will work closely with other Technology Functions and the Business to achieve this goal.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing or development, with experience in programming using Python/C#/Java or other languages. Familiarity with distributed version control systems like Git, as well as expert-level proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL for writing queries and stored procedures, is also highly desirable.

You will be responsible for designing and developing automation/performance solutions that meet organization standards, building reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites & test harnesses. Additionally, you will use tools and frameworks to build automation/performance scripts with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop automation/performance solutions
• Build automation/performance friendly code
• Develop test plans, test cases based on functional and design specifications
• Analyze and report test results
• Work in partnership with the development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality
• Review and approve the work of project team members
• Participate in internal/cross team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile environment
• Gather quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions
• Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery

We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in software testing or development, with a deep understanding of testing, coding, and debugging procedures. A strong background in programming using Python/C#/Java or other languages, familiarity with distributed version control systems like Git, and expert-level proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL for writing queries and stored procedures is highly desirable.

In addition, we require hands-on experience with Databricks, knowledge of automation tools like Selenium/Appium, and expertise in root cause analysis. Experience in advising teams to identify automatable test cases at different layers (UI, Services, and Data layer tests) and working with developers to build automation/performance friendly code is also essential.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent is preferred. We value excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear, concise, and detailed documentation.
