Software Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team as a core back-end developer. This role will focus on developing and maintaining the core back-end functionality of our display and interactive communication platform, VMX.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the core back-end functionality of our platform.
  • Manage existing features including Content Management, Channels Programming, Scheduling, Permissions, Account Management, Reporting, and Analytics.
  • Create new features and enhancements focusing on innovation for the next 12 months, including sensors, meta-tags, visual search, inbound APIs, and outbound API development.

Collaboration:
We require excellent collaboration skills to work with various teams, including Business, CX/UX, Front-end, and Operations. Your duties will include:
  • Developing product specifications in collaboration with the Business team.
  • Working closely with the CX/UX team to ensure user experience is seamless and enjoyable.
  • Integrating with the front-end team for efficient and effective integration.
  • Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the Operations team.

Requirements:
This role requires a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on C# on .NET Framework 4.8/.NET Core with SQL Server. Key requirements include:
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional full-time work experience.
  • Experience with frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
  • Design and implementation of RESTful Services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented analysis, design, and programming.
  • Awareness of NuGet and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with version control systems like Subversion or Git.
  • Awareness of application and API security best-practices.
  • Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Ability to quickly learn and communicate effectively.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
