Job Role

The primary objective of this position is to provide technical expertise and market insight in support of commercial and technical development within Pakistan.

  • Identify gaps in the portfolio for key field crops and vegetables, and develop proposals accordingly.

This role requires close collaboration with the R&D team to stay updated on new developments from Syngenta. It also involves managing pre-launch demonstrations in coordination with sales and commercial teams, as well as organizing field days to showcase successful demonstrations.

  • Maintain close contact with R&D colleagues to obtain technical assistance as needed.

Additionally, this position involves developing and executing plans in agreement with the line manager, innovating ideas and thinking to build confidence within commercial teams, and utilizing new technology to share findings with customers.

  • Monitor competition activities and new developments in agriculture.

Establishing close contact with research institutes and academia is essential to staying informed on new developments. This position also involves developing close contact with farmers to understand their problems and provide technical and sustainable solutions.

  • Develop a learning and development center focused on crop programs and stakeholder confidence building on NPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong techno-commercial background.
  • Preferably a master's degree in Entomology, Pathology, or Agronomy.
  • Updated knowledge on key crops of Pakistan.
  • Knowledge of important insects and pests of these crops.
  • Experience in farm management.
