Accounts Receivable Specialist

This position focuses on managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.

  • Generate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner to maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Monitor and track incoming payments, ensuring correct recording in the accounting system to facilitate reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts via phone, email, or other communication methods to secure timely payments and minimize losses.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain aging reports, providing updates on outstanding receivables to stakeholders.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting to ensure timely submission of financial statements.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes or payment issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to accounts receivable to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support in preparing Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related fields to demonstrate expertise and knowledge.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or credit control to showcase skills and accomplishments.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective follow-ups and resolution of issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software to efficiently manage and analyze data.
