Manufacturing Engineer II (A220) - 3rd Shift

Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer II is a key role in the production process, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the final assembly line. This position requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to production staff during the 3rd shift.
  • Lead troubleshooting meetings to resolve technical issues.
  • Train new employees on manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Validate workbook modifications and ensure proper documentation.
  • Investigate nonconformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the multi-function team to ensure efficient production.
  • Analyze data and create reports to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably in an A220 aircraft assembly environment.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Catia, and Enovia software.
  • Familiarity with American aviation market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Vision: Able to see and utilize fine work tools, computer screens; able to move through the office and from point to point to find specific co-workers and in-house experts.

  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate standard office equipment and utilize electronic id to enter- the building.
  • Carrying: Able to carry up to 40 lbs. /18kg. when transporting documents, printer paper and similar items.
  • Lifting: Able to lift up to 40lbs/18kg. On occasion.
  • Pushing / Pulling: Able to push/pull equipment, tools, production carts and office chairs and pieces of equipment.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: Able to regularly squat/kneel to access items or tools stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Able to stand for long periods of time in meetings and discussions.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time in front of a machine, on a tool bench or a computer terminal while writing bulletins or participating in meetings.
  • Travel: Able to travel in the US and internationally for business.
