Legal Strategy and Compliance Officer

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead our legal strategy and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, with experience in regulatory compliance, data privacy, public administration, and corporate governance.

  • Responsibilities:

  • - Develop and implement legal strategies to safeguard our interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • - Identify legal and privacy-related risks, providing proactive guidance and solutions to mitigate potential issues.

  • - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

  • - Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensuring our policies and procedures are updated accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience:

  • - Minimum 15 years' experience in law practice.

  • - Advocate of High Court / Supreme Court of Pakistan.

  • - Extensive legal practice experience, focusing on regulatory compliance, data privacy, public administration, and corporate governance.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth Knowledge:

  • - In-depth knowledge of Pakistani law, especially relating to citizen registration, citizenship, information technology, privacy, data protection, and corporate law.

  • - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to apply legal principles in a practical and business-focused way.

Education:

  • Degree Requirements:

  • - A law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a HEC recognized university.

  • - Advanced degrees in law, such as LLM preferably PhD, with specializations that may include constitutional law, privacy law, administrative law, and corporate law.
